Named "One of the Best Nonprofits" by Spur Local, Culmore Clinic is a nonprofit healthcare clinic offering free, compassionate, respectful and inclusive medical care, counseling, and specialty referrals to uninsured adults in the Falls Church, VA area.
The Need
Over half of Bailey’s Crossroads residents are uninsured.
Access to healthcare continues to be a crisis for many of our neighbors in Northern Virginia. Barriers to accessing medical care are legion. Affordability and language are just a few examples. Dedicated individuals and congregations thought something should be done. Culmore Clinic works to bridge the healthcare access gap in Northern Virginia.

Volunteer Spotlight: Nurse Kathy McNamara
This month we spoke to Kathy McNamara, one of our volunteer nurses. Kathy comes to us with a wealth of experience from nursing in Bangladesh to the Alaskan Bush and designing culturally responsive clinics through the National Association of Community Heath Centers.
Our Services
Culmore Clinic provides basic medical services, diagnostic testing, health counseling, mental health services and specialty care three days a week, to adults in the Bailey’s Crossroads, VA community. The Clinic works directly to alleviate health disparities, offering low-cost services to patients who would not otherwise have access to any kind of medical care. Volunteers
Culmore Clinic is a heavily volunteer run nonprofit. In fact, nearly 86% of our operations are run by volunteers (as of June 2024). Our volunteers are our lifeline and we are always in search of people with language, medical, organizational, or fundraising skills. We pride ourselves in our multi-generational volunteer opportunities.
